Overview

The generator contains Trinium as part of its function. It is lined with Lead to shield radiation. Template:Cite The generators have an absorption port with a redundancy to prevent overloads. History

Samantha Carter created a prototype of this generator with help from the Orbanian Merrin, using an Orbanian Naquadah reactor as a basis. She encountered a problem when the Trinium was absorbing the current and the reactor wasn't working but by reversing the polarity of the current, allowed the reactor to work. The first test caused a wave of energy. Template:Cite Carter was ordered by Jack O'Neill to convert a naquadah reactor, given to the Enkarans to heat their village, into a bomb to destroy the Gadmeer Terraformer. The reactor was transported up into the atmosphere where it exploded safely. Naquadah generator technology was part of a deal with the Russians in exchange for borrowing their Dial Home Device. Meredith Rodney McKay was sent to Russia to supervise the program. The Atlantis expedition had several generators among its gear. All of the expeditions generators were tied together with other systems to power the Stargate in order to send a data burst through the Stargate to Earth. Carter used three generators to power the Mantle of Arthur for a test to hide a village on P9C-882. Two of them were damaged by an Ori Staff weapon. Template:Cite
