On the first mission to [[Chulak]], [[SG-1]] and [[SG-2]] were given GDO's with codes that would be locked out if they didn't return to Earth or send a message back in 24 hours. {{Cite|SG1|Children of the Gods}} An [[Ashrak (Allegiance)|Ashrak]] took [[Pierce|Pierce's]] GDO from him when he attacked him. {{Cite|SG1|Allegiance}} [[Jonas Quinn]] secretly used his GDO to enter his IDC so the prisoners taking him hostage would end up on Earth. {{Cite|SG1|Forsaken}} The [[Goa'uld]] [[Mot]] took the GDO's from SG-1 and [[SG-15]] and wanted to know their IDCs.
