In [[2004]] the Wraith were awakened early and as a result the human populations in the [[Pegasus]] galaxy were much smaller and there was no enough of them to feed the Wraith. {{Cite|ATL|Rising}} The Wraith began [[Culling|cullings]] where they took more people than usual or even wiped out the population. {{Cite|ATL|Letters From Pegasus|Duet}} Wraith began being territorial and even began trading humans for alliances with other groups. {{Cite|ATL|Condemned|The Lost Boys}} The Wraith hoped to find [[Earth]] but the attack on [[Atlantis]] resulted in its destruction so the Wraith began forming alliances and attacking one another, wanting to destroy the competition. One [[Hive ship (Allies 1)|Hive ship]] that [[Michael Kenmore]] was on contacted Atlantis wanting to use the [[Iratus bug retrovirus]] to turn the Wraith on enemy Hive ships into food. {{Cite|ATL|Allies}}
