It scans worlds to determine if it matches the two thousand, six hundred and thirty four parameters needed to terraform. When a world is found, it begins destroying plant and animal life by producing an energy curtain at least 20 miles in diameter and then depositing [[Microbe (Scorched Earth)|microbes]] which leech [[Sulfur|sulfur]] out of the soil and create [[Sulfur dioxide|sulfur dioxide]]. Inside the ship has a large storage area with samples of Gadmeer plants and animals that will be recreated. It has [[Gadmeer Transporter|energy transporters]] installed. The ship can recreate different lifeforms if needed to create a communicator to speak to other races. {{Cite|SG1|Scorched Earth}}<br /> <br /> ==History==<br /> The terraformer scanned thousands of worlds including the [[Enkaran homeworld]] before finding [[P5S-381]] which met all the parameters and it began terraforming. The ship scanned some [[Enkaran]]s and created [[Lotan]] as a communicator for them and he transported [[SG-1]] aboard when the ship detected them trying to contact them. Lotan was convinced to stop the terraforming as continuing would kill the Enkarans. Lotan agreed to use the terraformer to transport the Enkarans back to their homeworld.
