[[Commander]] '''Hale''' was a male [[Langaran]] and the former Chairman of the [[Kelownan Defense Council]].

==Biography==
He served as the Undersecretary for Military Appropriations before being promoted to Chairman of the Defense Council. He came to [[Stargate Command]] with [[Ambassador]] [[Dreylock]] and [[Doctor|Dr.]] [[Kieran]] to try to negotiate for military technology. He told [[SG-1]] and [[Major General]] [[George Hammond]] that the [[Andari Federation]] and [[Tirania]] were going to sign a non-aggression pact which would leave [[Kelowna]] vulnerable and leave them to use the [[Naquadria bomb]] as a last resort. When they returned to [[Langara]], he was called to an emergency cabinet meeting as the non-aggression pact had been signed. [[SG-1]] came to Langara and Hale wanted them to provide missile technology to defend their cities but were refused. When [[Jonas Quinn]] asked him and [[First Minister]] [[Velis]] what had happened to the scientists working on the bomb, he was told they had all exhibited [[Schizophrenia|schizophrenia]] and were committed. When [[Anubis' Mothership]] arrived in orbit he avoided being captured and he and Dreylock contacted the SGC for help. He told SG-1 that they had no choice but to give [[Anubis]] their entire stockpile of [[Naquadria]]. He learned that Anubis was rounding up archaeologists from the [[Academy of Science]] and mentioned that they had used their Naquadria bomb against Tirania and the Andari Federation. He introduced the ambassadors from Tirania and the Andari Federation to [[Jack O'Neill]] and was annoyed at the plan to bring more [[Goa'uld]] to Langara to defeat Anubis. When he learned what Anubis was searching for, a [[Crystal|crystal]] containing information, he made a deal with Anubis' [[First Prime]] [[Herak]] to give it to him in exchange for leaving Kelowna alone in his search for more Naquadria.
