==Biography==<br />
He has the [[Ancient Technology Activation gene]]. He and [[Stackhouse]] accompanied [[Sheppard's team]] to a [[Planet (Rising)|planet]] to gather intelligence on the [[Wraith]]. The team returned with [[John Sheppard]] having an [[Iratus bug]] attached to his neck, so Markham had to pilot the [[Jumper One|Jumper]]. They returned to the [[Spacegate]] slowly as Markham wasn't as proficient at flying. They began to enter but the drive pods hadn't retracted so the Jumper became lodged in the [[Event horizon]], leaving Markam and Stackhouse dematerialized. They were later rematerialized on [[Atlantis]] and learned that Sheppard's team had been stuck for almost 40 minutes and they watched as Sheppard was resuscitated by [[Doctor|Dr.]] [[Carson Beckett]]. {{Cite|ATL|Thirty-Eight Minutes}} He was chosen by [[Aiden Ford]] to pilot a Jumper across the [[Lantean System]] to provide potential backup for Sheppard, [[Meredith Rodney McKay]] and two scientists.
