The Others comprised of many [[Ancient]]s who ascended. {{Cite|SG1|Threads}} The Others shielded the existence of humans in the [[Milky Way]], and possibly [[Pegasus]], from the [[Ori]]. {{Cite|SG1|Avalon, Part 2}} When [[Moros]] retook human form, the Others sent [[Ganos Lal]] to observe him. {{Cite|SG1|The Pegasus Project}} When [[Anubis]] ascended they did not want him among them and forced him back partially, warning him not to use his ascended abilities or risk their wrath. {{Cite|SG1|Full Circle|Lockdown}} They banished [[Oma Desala]] at some point for helping ascend people. When [[Orlin]] gave knowledge to the [[Velonan]]s to allow them to build a [[Velonan Weapon|weapon]] to defeat the attacking [[Goa'uld]], they decided as a collective to destroy the Velonans who had been planning on using the weapon to conquer other worlds.
