The '''Protected Planets Treaty''' is an agreement between the [[Asgard High Council]] and the [[Goa'uld]] [[System Lord]]s.

==Overview==
The core of the treaty states that the [[Human]] race exist solely for the purpose of serving the Goa'uld as [[Host|hosts]] and slaves. ==History==
The treaty was established between the [[Asgard High Council]] and the [[Goa'uld]] [[System Lord]]s. {{Cite|SG1|Thor's Hammer}} When the Goa'uld [[Heru'ur]] invaded Cimmeria, the [[Asgard]] [[Thor]] came to the planet to remove the Goa'uld forces. {{Cite|SG1|Thor's Chariot}} In [[1999]] the System Lords turned their attention towards [[Earth]] and the Asgard entered into negotiations to include it in the treaty. A summit was held on Earth with [[Cronus]], [[Nirrti]] and [[Yu]] coming to represent the System Lords. The original agreement stated that Earth had to turn over its two [[Stargate]]s but after Cronus was attacked and Nirrti was exposed as the attacker, they were allowed to keep their Stargates and Earth was included in the treaty. {{Cite|SG1|Fair Game}} The Asgard were unwilling to help fix [[K'Tau|K'Tau's]] [[Eye of Odin|star]] as it was deemed a natural disaster and their interference would void the treaty. [[Anubis]] made the [[Tollan]] build [[Tollan Phase shifting weapon|phase shifting weapons]] and sent [[Tanith]] to make the Tollan test one by sending it through the Stargate to Earth, bypassing the treaty by not attacking Earth directly. {{Cite|SG1|Between Two Fires}} The treaty was violated by [[Osiris]] who came to a [[Planet (Revelations)}|protected planet]] and refused to leave.
