Major Altman is a male Tau'ri, a member of Stargate Command and the commander of SG-5.

Biography

He and his team went with Samantha Carter to P3X-584 but were instead sent to another planet. After the Call forwarding device on 584 was discovered and overridden, he and his team set up gravity sensors to scan a nearby Black hole. He later examined some technology in Anubis' hidden lab and found the Ascendometer.
