An Interdimensional creature is an insect-like creature that lives in a parallel dimension.

Overview

There are a number of varieties of these creatures - long, thin centipede like ones, flying ones and large slug-like ones. They are aware of matter on our dimension as they will rest on solid objects but cannot interact with anything not in their dimension. Their behavior doesn't suggest a higher intelligence. History

The Ancients created a device to study these creatures. SG-1 brought the device back to Earth where its charge made its way through people and allowed them to see the creatures. It spread out into Colorado with people seeing the creatures and panicking.
