The Ancient Interdimensional creature device is a device which allows people to view Interdimensional creatures.

Overview

The device imparts a charge on a user that allows them to perceive beings in a parallel dimension as well as impart a charge to stop a user from seeing them. The charge can be passed from person to person through touch. The device emits energy particles within a radius of 500 meters which attract the creatures. There is a core of Control crystals that powers the device and can be rearranged to change the charge of the device. The device has an orange glow when set to allow a charge for the creatures to be seen and a green glow when set to stop it. History

The Ancients created the device to study interdimensional creatures on P9X-391. The device was left behind when the Ancients left the planet. SG-1 found the device in 2002 and took it back to Stargate Command. Jonas Quinn was the first person to touch it which activated it and imparted a charge on him allowing him to see the interdimensional creatures. It was transferred to Area 51 for study but brought back to try to stop its effects after others began seeing the creatures. Samantha Carter removed the power core to try to stop it but it didn't work so they took it back to the planet but that didn't work either.
