Hoffan drug

Overview
The drug prevents the Wraith enzyme from being released in a victim. It mutates and is released into any Wraith that feeds on an inoculated person, resulting in complete organ failure for the Wraith. The serum causes 50% of those that take it to die of respiratory failure. Template:Cite
History
The Hoffans began developing the drug 150 years ago when Farrol Mylan, a medical researcher, discovered a man who resisted being fed on. They found a protein in his blood that they replicated and used to make a prototype of the serum. In 2004 Perna was working on completing the drug and was assisted by Dr. Carson Beckett and they successfully created a new synthetic version. It was tested on Merell, a dying man, who was fed on by a Wraith but the Wraith could not feed on him. Merell died from the drug and the Wraith died from it being introduced into his system. The Hoffans inoculated their entire population and 50% of them died. Template:Cite Michael Kenmore obtained information on the drug and forced his clone of Carson Beckett to further refine it so it only killed 30% of those exposed. Alternate Timelines
- In an alternate timeline, Michael Kenmore continued to use the Hoffan drug on human populations. Jennifer Keller was exposed to the drug so much that it eventually began to cause issues and soon killed her. Template:Cite
