Biography

Ra and his species were dying so Ra began looking for a way to extend his life. Around 8000 B.C. he came across Earth and the Tau'ri. He took a young boy and discovered that within his body he could continue to live. He posed as a god to the rest of the people and took many of them through the Stargate to Abydos to mine Naquadah for him. Template:Cite In 2995 B.C. there was a rebellion in Egypt and Ra was forced to flee; in order to prevent a similar rebellion among the Abydonians he forbid them reading and writing. Template:Cite He and the other System Lords fought against Sokar, defeating him. Template:Cite Seth attempted to overthrow Ra at some point and became a fugitive for the attempt. Template:Cite Ra discovered that Egeria had spawned the Tok'ra and sealed her in a Canopic jar hidden away on Pangar. Template:Cite Shak'ran went to war with Ra and took control of Pangar. Ra was betrayed by Sekhmet so he had her imprisoned in a canopic jar on Earth. Template:Cite Ra was betrayed by Aset who had been killed, but he revive her and gave her another chance. He sent her to Abydos to rule over the planet and gather Naquadah for him. Template:Cite Ra was contacted by Serqet, Aset's bodyguard, who informed him that Aset had birthed a Harcesis and was planning to overthrow Ra by allying with Earth. He came to Abydos and confronted Aset, killing her, her child and destroying Aset's Temple and the outpost of Nosdevli. He also brainwashed Wasif Alabu Khan and Motawk to serve as his soldiers. In 1996 he returned to Abydos and his forces found a team from Earth there and took a Nuclear bomb they had brought with them. When Jack O'Neill and Daniel Jackson were brought before him and Jackson was killed, Ra had him revived after seeing the Eye of Ra pendant he had around his neck. He told Jackson that he planned on sending the bomb back to Earth with a shipment of Naquadah to increase its destructive power and destroy Earth and that Jackson would be the one to execute the rest of his team. After O'Neill, Jackson and the others escaped and Ra's forces couldn't locate them, Ra executed one of his guards as punishment. Later the team and some Abydonians assaulted Ra's ship, he ordered the bomb sent through the Stargate. He saw Jackson moving through his ship and began to use his hand device to kill Jackson only to be disrupted when the Ring Transporter nearby activated and Jackson escaped. Seeing the severed head of his head guard and the rebellion of the Abydonians, Ra decided to flee the planet. When his ship got to orbit, the Ring Transporter activated and the bomb was sent up, destroying the ship and killing Ra. Template:Cite
