Asuras

Template:Planet Asuras, alpha-numeric designation M7R-227, was a planet in the Pegasus galaxy and homeworld of the Asurans.

History

The Lanteans established an outpost here to work on a Nanite weapon against the Wraith. The nanites began to interlock and became the Asurans, building their own city. The Lanteans decided to end things and attacked the city and destroyed the Asurans. Some nanites survived and began to rebuild, creating a city that rivalled anything the Lanteans ever built. In 2006 the planet was visited by Sheppard's team and Elizabeth Weir and when the Asurans discovered that Atlantis was still around, they launched a city-ship to try to destroy it. Template:Cite The planet was attacked with a number of Mark IX nuclear bombs that destroy the fleet they were building and a large area of their city. Template:Cite Sheppard's team] and Weir came to the planet to steal a Zero Point Module and also activated a command to direct the Asurans to attack the Wraith. The Apollo arrived at the planet to rescue the team. A number of Asuran ships began launching from the planet to attack the Wraith. Template:Cite A fleet of Tau'ri, Wraith and Traveler ships arrived in orbit and attacked. All of the Asurans were attracted to one another and formed a massive blob, which was sunk into the planet where it hit the core and the planet was destroyed. Template:Cite
