Holy Grail

The Holy Grail is a treasure said to have been found by the Knights of the Round Table and kept at the Vale of Avalon.

History

The Grail was originally said to be a dish or platter, or in the tale of Wolfram von Eschenbach, a stone that fell from the heavens, the Sangraal. It being a cup or chalice became part of the story later on. It was said to have been used by Jesus as the Last Supper.
