History

Jeannie Miller came up with a math proof that was used to create a matter bridge in a Lantean Containment chamber on Atlantis to extract zero point energy from an alternate reality and prevent the creation of exotic particles in this universe. The bridge worked but the reality it connected to was inhabited and began causing a tear in the universe so an alternate Meredith Rodney McKay was beamed into the rupture and travelled the bridge. He was later beamed back into the bridge as it was being collapsed and sent back to his universe. Template:Cite Samantha Carter was pulled through a matter bridge when she was out of phase using the Mantle of Arthur and within a Force field. Template:Cite Malcolm Tunney obtained a paper written by McKay and Jeannie and used the math to construct a matter bridge connected to a heat sink to extract heat from the atmosphere. The heat sink could not be shut down and kept extracting heat so a second matter bridge was created in order to drain the sink of energy and shut it down. Template:Cite

Alternate Realities
