History

McMurdo sent a rescue team to find Jack O'Neill and Samantha Carter who had come through a Stargate stuck inside a glacier. Template:Cite The F-302's that battled Anubis' fleet over Antarctica had to redirect to McMurdo after they expended their ordnance rather than return to the Prometheus. Template:Cite John Sheppard was stationed at this base and flew O'Neill to the Antarctic outpost from here. Template:Cite

Alternate Timelines

In an alternate timeline, the Stargate was set up here to be used by the United States Navy. The base was destroyed by Ba'al's fleet. Template:Cite
