History

Canada was hit by Hurricane Hazel around 1964. Lantea suffers from large hurricanes every 20 years or so due to their being a small amount of landmass to slow them down. In 2004 two hurricanes merged on Lantea and swept across the mainland and to Atlantis. Winds reached up to 110 knots and increased electrical activity from lightning was used to power the shield on Atlantis by disabling the Grounding stations and allowing it to flow into the shield generators.
